Frequently Asked Questions
What inspired you to start Rendered Roots and the Painted Letter Society?
As an artist, I was seeking to change my brand and reinvigorate my internal creative process. I had seen other artists offering a monthly subscription for their prints, but that didn’t seem quite right for me.
I had always wanted to connect with my collector friends but realized there may be an opportunity to help them connect with others as well. I could create paintings designed for sharing! And what better way to do that than to provide a product that could be shared in the form of high-quality greeting cards?
I had recently come across a letter from my grandmother where she shared her thoughts and an important family recipe. Seeing her handwriting and her loving message brought back so many great memories and struck a chord in me that greatly influenced the direction of my rebranding effort.
So, I invite you to join me as we create and share memories that may span generations with our Painted Letter Society!
What type of art should I expect as a member of the Painted Letter Society?
All monthly cards sent out as part of the “Painted Letter Society” will fall within a Nature theme. I live deep in the North Georgia Mountains and spend all of my free time out in nature enjoying everything she has to offer. My artistic tastes range from literal to impressionistic - I tend to flow where the creative process takes me. The original paintings will be either acrylic on canvas or watercolor. The cards will be high quality prints from those originals. Either way, they will represent the best I can create from the beautiful canvas of my “home” in the Appalachian Mountains.
What type of paper stock do you use for the cards?
The base of the card is a high-quality card stock, and the print is premium satin finish. When you receive your card, you have a choice of keeping your archival quality print and framing it, or you can leave it as is and mail it out as a greeting card. The interior of the card is blank so you can personalize it for any occasion. All monthly cards sent out as part of the “Painted Letter Society” will fall within a nature theme.
