The incredible Monarch Butterfly passes through my area on its annual migration from the far northeast down to a small group of fir trees in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Central Mexico.
I don’t see many here at my cabin, but every year I manage to spot a handful of them. This monarch is resting on a native Georgia milkweed plant known as Asclepias Variegate (aka White Milkweed).
They always bring me great joy, and I hope this ornament does the same for you.
This one-of-a-kind ornament (approx. 3.75” diameter) is hand-painted on a canning jar lid and framed in a painted canning jar ring. The ornament is finished with jute twine and ready to hang. The back is signed with the title of the painting and artist signature. All of this is packaged in a protective burlap bag and ready for gift giving, or display.
