Shy Doe - Original Acrylic on Ornament
I have several doe family groups that consider my piece of land home. They often pass through my plot of land in search of acorns and other tasty tidbits. I especially love seeing the does with their young fawns. They are always so very quiet and cautious, alert for any sign of danger. At the first hint of danger, they either quietly withdraw and disappear into the woods, or they throw up that white flag and bound away in an explosion of sound and movement. Either way, they are incredible wildlife here in the Appalachian Mountains.
This one-of-a-kind ornament (approx. 3.75” diameter) is hand-painted on a canning jar lid and framed in a painted canning jar ring. The ornament is finished with jute twine and ready to hang. The back is signed with the title of the painting and artist signature. All of this is packaged in a protective burlap bag and ready for gift giving, or display.
