Will you be my Friend? - Ornament (Print)
For the longest time, I have wanted to “become friends” with a crow! I’ve seen videos where crows have befriended people and these friendships always include generous gift exchanges. People give food, and in return the crows bring treasures (string, shiny things, etc.).
With this desire to befriend a crow, you can imagine my elation when I walked out on the deck and heard a crow caw from nearby. Looking, I saw a beautiful crow sitting on a branch looking back at me. Our eyes met, and we shared a brief moment… oh the potential.
But alas, the crow squawked, turned, and flew away, leaving me to wonder what could have been. If only.
I created this painting immediately after that first meeting. I painted all day and into the next on the strength of that inspiration. Though I’ve taken slight artistic license (this crow is a bit closer than the original), I believe this painting captures the thrill of that moment.
I hope you enjoy.
I will carefully package each ornament in a high-quality, burlap gift bag for protection and ease of gift giving.
Please note: Each ornament is one-of-a kind. No two are alike, as the size and shape of the wood slices are not uniform. Also, all beads will be wooden, but the shade may vary.
Approximately 2.4” - 2.8” diameter.
Ornaments are made to order - please allow extra time, as I will be working carefully to create your individual orders.
