The Cardinal is such a beautiful bird. But in the winter, when their feathers are “fluffed out” against the cold and they are posing against a backdrop of snow, they offer a stunning view of nature at its finest. I have Cardinals at my house year-round, but I will admit to enjoying them just a little bit more during the cold winter months when everything else around them is colored in muted grays and browns.
Some view Cardinals as nature’s messengers, reminding us of loved ones lost. Others simply view Cardinals as beautiful examples of what nature provides.
