This original painting is a rendition of an experience I shared with my dog, Nester. He had treed a young bear cub. It took a leash and a lot of pulling to get Nester back in the house, but once he was safely inside, the young bear cub made his way down the tree and back to his worried mother.
This tree stands about 20 feet from the corner of my house, and I always think about that frightened cub when I walk past that tree.
This one-of-a-kind ornament (approx. 3.75” diameter) is hand-painted on a canning jar lid and framed in a painted canning jar ring. The ornament is finished with jute twine and ready to hang. The back is signed with the title of the painting and artist signature. All of this is packaged in a protective burlap bag and ready for gift giving, or display.
